The contrast is ever present...
The teapot is brewing, that crisp morning smell is in the air. It's a perfect temperature, cold enough to have a jumper on and feel rugged up, the creaking of the boat sounds in the background. I can hear a few tweeting birds, a fish jumping and splashing on the calm water surface further away, the morning sun hits my face. It's warm, it's full of light, love and energy.
The first sip of tea fills my soul with its warmth. The stillness is here.
Beyond this I can hear the noise of the world in the background. Humming loudly. The cars, the ambulances, construction already started. It's fast, it's loud, it's busy.
The contrast exists everywhere we go.
Inside our internal world, the loud noise of the mind and the quietness and stillness of our souls.
Inside our external world, the noise of society and the stillness of nature.
The yin and the yang.
The calm and the busy.
The silence and the noise.
The stillness and the fast pace.
Inside all of this we get to choose.
To allow the noise to guide us, or to come back to the truth that lives inside our calm and stillness.
The contrast is ever present. It never disappears. But neither does the stillness.
It is always there, waiting underneath the noise, patient and quiet, ready for you to return to it whenever you are ready.
So my love, when life gets loud and the noise pulls you away from yourself, what does coming back to your own stillness actually look and feel like for you? π«ΆπΌβ¨
